Jamie Tuuta

Jamie is the Māori Trustee and CEO of Te Tumu Paeroa. He is of Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Tama, Te Ati Awa and Taranaki Tuturu descent. Jamie is passionate about investing in innovation and increasing the economic and environmental performance of our primary industries. He's particularly interested in growing and developing the Māori primary sector.

Jamie’s held a range of leadership roles in iwi and Māori development, agribusiness, fishing, investment, health, tourism and education. He was previously chair of the Parininihi ki Waitōtara Incorporation, Te Runanga o Ngāti Mutunga and Ngāti Mutunga ki Wharekauri Asset Holding Company.

He’s currently also a director of Aotearoa Fisheries Ltd, Te Ohu Kaimoana Trustee Ltd, Wools of New Zealand, Taranaki Investment Management Ltd and is a Tourism New Zealand board member.

Nick McKissack is the chief operating officer for Te Tumu Paeroa, managing all corporate and business services.

Nick started his career in human resource management, building capabilities in organisational development and human resource management before moving into general management roles. He is currently a member of Te Tumu Kāinga Advisory Board and deputy chairperson of MTD1 Ltd.

Basil Tapuke

  • General manager of trusts

Basil Tapuke is the general manager of trusts for Te Tumu Paeroa. He oversees the management of almost 2,000 trusts and agencies administered by the Māori Trustee. Basil was previously manager of strategy.

Basil was previously a member of the senior management team at Te Ohu Kaimoana. He has held a range of different roles, spanning aquaculture development, general legal practice, fisheries policy, accounting and governance. He's currently chairman of Te Tumu Kāinga and a director for Ngahina Developments Ltd.

Stuart Allan

  • Chief financial officer

Stuart Allan is the chief financial officer for Te Tumu Paeroa, managing all elements of finance and risk for the organisation. He has worked as a finance professional for over 15 years, and has a strong background in accounting, business planning, project implementation and senior management.

In his role at Te Tumu Paeroa he's been appointed as a director of subsidiary and associate companies Putake Limited and Te Tumu Mīere Limited.
