Our Associate Advisors Programme

He Manu Korihi aims to provide a pathway to enhance governance skills by preserving and passing-on knowledge from one generation to another. The long-term goal of this programme is to encourage a new generation of owners and beneficial owners to be more actively involved in the mahi of the whenua and in the boardroom.
This programme will provide owners with an opportunity
to gain experience in the governance of the Trust and its other activities,
with a view to be future Advisory Trustees. As part of the programme we
would look to involve applicants with a keen interest in
growing their knowledge about the Trust and its activities.
They will need to be dedicated to
contributing towards the ongoing development of the Trust and be confident to
sit at the Trust table, learn and get amongst it. It is anticipated that Associate Advisors be appointed for two years.
The Year 1 programme will include:
- Attending an Associate Advisor induction wānanga
- Site
visit to ascertain the Trust’s assets
- Goal and two training opportunities for the two year period
- Attending
and participating in all Trustee hui
- Participating
in annual business and Trust Planning
- Attending
and participating at the AGM
- Presenting
at the AGM
- Assignment
of a special project (growing the ownership base)
- Attending a Te Tumu Whairawa Financial Literacy programme
The Year 2 programme will include:
- Attend Associate Advisor wānanga
- Goal and two training opportunities for the two year period
- Attending
and participating in all Trustee hui x4
- Participating
in annual business and Trust Planning
- Attending
and participating at the AGM
- Presenting
at the AGM on the associate programme
- He Manu Taiko governance programme
