We are seeking a Kaitohutohu Tuarā Taonga | Trust Advisor based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Māori from our past, present and future alike. This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Māori land everywhere.
Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Māori. We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations.
He angitūtanga: About the Role:
Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington, this Trust Advisor is responsible for providing additional support to all regions in respect to managing a portfolio of trusts. We seek a high-calibre candidate capable of maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the affairs of each trust within various portfolios.

The provision of trust services to deliver professional trustee services for various portfolio

Facilitate successful meetings with Trustees, key stakeholders in line with relevant process and tikanga.

Delivery of meeting outputs, including invitations, documentation and follow-up activities

Provide advice and guidance concerning trusts associated with various portfolios

Support your Manager, Team Leader and colleagues through complex, emerging and real issues

Preparation and review of Māori Land Court applications

Collaboration with Te Tumu Paeroa teams, to prepare for and attend Māori Land Court hearings (on behalf of the Māori Trustee).
He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

At least 3 years of proven experience in a customer service or administration role

A genuine care for customers, with exceptional customer service skills

A strong team player, who can collaborate and assist to help the team function well

Skills in building and fostering strong internal and external relationships.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Good time management and organisation skills.
-
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and/or M365 is a plus.

Experience or an understanding of the rural sector would be advantageous.

· Pae Rua- Te Whakarongo | An ability to understand Te Reo Māori, a desire and ability topractice correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (essential)
Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Tikanga Māori
· Pae Rua- Te Noho Marae | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a noho maraelevel. Knowing and practising things such as basic karakia, waiata and one’s own pepehā(essential)
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.
