So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Māori from our past, present and future alike. This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Māori land everywhere.

Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Māori. We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations.

He angitūtanga: About the Role:

As a Trust Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, fostering seamless collaboration and delivering exceptional service. This crucial position involves providing additional support across all regions of Te Tumu Paeroa to effectively manage workload demands and project initiatives.

Please note: This role may require some travel and occasional weekend work.

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Administration of trusts to support the regional teams

  • Collaboration with team members and other key stakeholders in preparation for owner and trustee meetings, other hui and Māori land court hearings

  • Creation of meeting materials, including meeting invitations, presentations and reports, and provision of supporting documentation

  • Attendance at meetings (where required), assisting with room set-up and taking of meeting minutes

  • Responding to enquiries from customers and other stakeholders

  • Updating core administration systems in accordance with our processes

  • Contribute to the preparation of Māori Land Court applications.

Pae Tahi- Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (essential).

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Tikanga Māori
Pae Tahi- Nō Ia Rā | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a day-to-day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential)

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.
