We are seeking a Kaiwhakataka | Administrator (Trust & Property) in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington).

He angitūtanga: About the Role:

As a Kaiwhakataka | Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch administrative support to our Trust and Property team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Team: Assist with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the Trust and Property team.
  • Meeting Coordination: Attend meetings of owners and trustees, including setting up meeting rooms/Zoom, taking minutes, and distributing meeting materials.
  • Preparation for Hearings: Help prepare materials for owner and trustee meetings as well as Māori land court hearings.
  • Invoice Processing: Handle the processing of invoices for payment efficiently.
  • System Updates: Keep our core administration systems updated in line with our processes.
  • Professionalism: Providing reception duties, including welcoming visitors and answering incoming calls in a polite and friendly manner.

As a highly organised and personable administration professional. You will bring:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience in a customer service or administration role within a medium to large organisation.
  • Team Player: A strong team player who seamlessly collaborates across the team to support core activities.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to build relationships both internally and externally through open and clear communication, both verbal and written.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Technically savvy with a keen eye for detail and the confidence to navigate multiple systems.
  • Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Rural Sector Knowledge: Experience or an understanding of the rural sector would be beneficial.

  • Pae Tahi- Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (essential).

Ngā Pae Mōhiotanga Tikanga Māori

  • Pae Tahi- Nō Ia Rā | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a day-to-day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential)
