Kaitatau Pūtea | Management Accountant

We are seeking a Kaitatau Pūtea | Management Accountant based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington).

He angitūtanga | About the role:

The Kaitatau Pūtea | Management Accountant is primarily responsible for: 

  • The preparation of internal financial reports that provide insight into business performance of Common Fund entities
  • Providing assistance to the Trust & Property team with finance reporting and analysis
  • Providing financial training to help kaimahi better understand financial policies and the financial information they use. 

He kōrero mou | What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years’ management/financial accounting experience.
  • CA Qualified (or close to it), registered with CAANZ or similar.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate financial data
  • A good understanding of IPSAS and IFRS accounting standards and principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics NAV, SharePoint and/or M365 is a plus.
  • Pae Rua- Te Whakarongo | An ability to understand Te Reo Māori, a desire and ability to practice correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (desired).
  • Pae Rua- Te Noho Marae | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a noho marae level. Knowing and practising things such as basic karakia, waiata and one’s own pepehā (desired)
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.
